Multi-level Governance and Food Security in the GCR
Multi-Stakeholder Workshop – 17 April 2019 – GCRO
In the first session of the meeting ProfJaap de Visser from the Dullah Omar Institute will outline the divisions of power between different levels of government and identify points of leverage that subnational governments have to influence food security.
In the second session of the meeting we will be briefed on relevant policy innovations in Gauteng on poverty alleviation and economic development. We will then work in groups to discuss how this connects with multi-level governance, the food security mandate, and the role of other stakeholder groups (civil society, trade associations etc).
