Sylvia attained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science (International Studies) at the University of Pretoria in 2013 and completed her Honours degree in International Relations in 2014. She worked in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pretoria and later became an assistant lecturer, teaching Political Science and International Relations. Sylvia is also an avid student activist who was involved in the #FeesMustFall movement. She is currently reading towards a Masters in Political Science that focuses on the BRICS and how sustainability impacts global leadership aspirations.
