Dickson Ajisafe is currently working towards an MA in African-European Cultural Relations at the University of Pretoria — the only degree of its kind in Africa. He is also an executive officer at the GovInn-led European Studies Association of Sub-Saharan Africa (ESA-SSA). Dickson holds an MA in International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria, and a 2nd Class Upper BA (Honours) degree in History and International Studies from Adekunle Ajasin University, (former Ondo State University), Akungba Akoko, Nigeria. He also has a University Diploma in Local Government Studies from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
Dickson Ajisafe’s research interests include: terrorism, conflict, violence and community development. Dickson possesses professional qualifications in Conflict Analysis, Interfaith Conflict Resolution and Negotiation and Conflict Management, with the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and has undertaken professional development programmes with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in monitoring, evaluation, advocacy, communication and social mobilisation.
As an eloquent public speaker with more than 10 years experience, he has featured on Lephalale FM Radio Station in Ellisras, Limpopo and addressed SANDF and SAPS service men and women, plus students in high schools, colleges and members of staff in private organisations in Nigeria and South Africa. As a freelance columnist, he has published more than 30 articles on Mogol Post Weekly Newspaper in Ellisras, Limpopo, South Africa.
