The first draft Bill in South Africa to legalise certain production and use of cannabis has been approved by Cabinet and is currently open for public submissions (deadline 30th November) before it is considered by Parliament. Various court process have led to this legislation being considered. This is a good time to discuss the Bill and open up a wider discussion on the issue of cannabis use and legalisation in South Africa.
