Religion in International Relations and the French model of Secularism (“Laïcité”) 27.03.2017
The Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation (GovInn) and the French Embassy in South Africa invite you to a panel discussion on the issue of religion in International Relations and the French approach of “Laïcité” or secularism in this sphere of agency. Panel discussants include H.E Ambassador Jean-Christophe Peaucelle of the French Republic, H.E. Ambassador Iqbal Jhazbhay (UNISA) former ambassador of South Africa to Eritrea and member of the ANC’s commission for international affairs and Professor Willem Fourie ,Associate Professor at the Department of Theology, University of Pretoria. The panel discussion will take place at GovInn headquarters in Old College House, at the University of Pretoria main campus on Monday 27 March at 16:00.
